Hey, fuzzy blue monster here who doesn't make kids content but consistently gets put under the Sesame Street category anyway. Is there any way I can avoid getting hit by these changes?

The target audience is what's most important here (you know your videos best!). If your content isn’t made for kids, no action needed. More specifics/examples here: https://yt.be/help/pE5Q and we’ll have more resources & content strategy guides over the coming months to help.

@TeamYouTube , I've really appreciated your recent moves. It has been a huge support for members of the YouTube community and viewers alike.. but this one is truly worrisome. Recently you demanded via rule changes that, in order to retain monetization, channels adopt more /11 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
family friendly content. After this change many channels have cut adult language and content from their videos. Now you are threatening to lower their monetization for being too friendly. Clearly this is a financial move, and has little motivation in protecting children. /2
