Blockchain is very clever. But I'm still having a hard time seeing why it's needed. How many of us need to be able to make anonymous transactions using crypto to verify our ownership of assets? It's a costly thing, and fraud by financial institutions not so big a deal https://twitter.com/HandelsblattGE/status/958771344690294787 …
With blockchains you can meter new services: IOT sensors, traffic at the level of the car, flows in organizations and communities, etc. The open nature of blockchain clients means they will always be around. Not so for databases. This will enable extremely granular coordination.
