The cognitive dissonance required to eat factory farmed meat and animal products is pretty astounding. I’m still so surprised by how many “smart” people lack any sort of discipline or morality around this. I’m not saying go vegan. If you can afford better though, why not?

Probably depends on your definition of “non-factory farmed”. There’s definitely gradations to it - everything from Polyface Farms to Buy Ranch Direct to Butcher Box. Any of those are going to be better options than Smithfield, Tyson, etc.
