I don't believe in "spirit", spirits, spiritual realms, spiritual beings, spiritual practices, spiritual liberation, spiritual progress, or spirituality. The concept of spirit emerges from a dualistic/vitalistic ontology that I think is wrong at its core.

I usually think of ‘spiritual’ as being in the realm of method.

That's my association too. Though I find I'm leaning more towards 'contemplative' because it's more explicit about method, traditions of method, while still being non-denominational and not folk-religious. This thread is highlighting to me how spiritual is overloaded.
