My wife planned a surprise zoom party. It's a difficult format. ~Absolutely No Singing on Zoom~

I asked everyone tell a story they remembered about me.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -
Because I like to be the center of attention. (Also, I can't stand trying to catch up on Zoom in a big group. Taking turns story telling is a good use of the format.) having fun leaning into the nature of *my* monstrosity-sublimity-ordinariness, there isn't a better day

My favorite patterns from the stories: exposing folk to Buddhism / personal spiritual accounts; ending up shirtless
; love of food; openness to experience and joining people where they are.1 reply 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -
Always find that parties amplify group energy. I've found other parties I've held to reflect life through the mixing realities of people I know and communities I'm part of.

It was a living record of who I've been so far. What I'm looking forward to: more Buddhism, food, openness, shirtlessness for sure but also

some newer stuff: explaining myself without omitting parts which I think aren't suitable, not explaining myself at all, approaching new situations and people knowing who I am, writing, shifting away from broad exploration - shifting into narrow scope exploration+owning an area
