noticing the mind which self censors usually happens so quickly I don't catch it it very much is a self censoring mind which clamps down on the generative mind because it doesn't like it as opposed to generative mind being off

generative mind doesnt stop, living up to censoring mind's standards can be impossible tho to the point that it gets very faint I've noticed late at night is the time I'm most able to tweet, as if censoring mind tired out.

Was reading the earlier RTs I started this thread with. One aim of being real name, real face, was to deliberately integrate a fragmented identity. I encounter lots of internal resistance anytime I try to exercise my voice here.

Two years and five months ago, my voice did not exist online. I consider where I am now a triumph.

Another aspect to Voice and relation. Do I trust you enough to show you what I am thinking/feeling? Caring enough to try to convey the edge of where I am in hope you will get it instead of trusting you not to? https://twitter.com/fvathynevgl/status/1249968581036703745 …

The contradiction in being selfish and vulnerable. Like confiding your true wizard name reveals the source of your power: Saying your true desire, what fulfills you the most, opens you to the highest gratification, to direct attack, or perhaps worst tepid reception.

As someone who does this often, I find one of the tricks is having that support. I get attacked all the time. Having people I know will accept me makes it so those attackers can’t really say much to phase me. I am who I am and some people support it, others don’t

When I’m talking about something new I’m not sure people will accept, I sometimes dip my toes in lightly first just to test for that support. Often I need to think on how to phrase it better and practice in small steps

2nd time tonight the theme of a group, whether for offense or defense, came up. The core of what this thread in someways is finding your people. This is cool because it goes into what to do when you have them.
