I haven't used serverless on someone else's cloud, but if you are charged per-call you can still mess up quite badly I think The way I avoid problems is to use unmetered fixed-cost scaleway and hetzner machines

If forced to use big cloud for their regions, I would deploy software to check your bill every minute
