Current problem to solve: 18 inputs that can connect to ground or power. I need to think of the simplest possible analog circuit that can vary these inputs over time in a random-enough way I can think of complex ways to do this right away, trick is making it very, very simple

made me think of simple chaos generators like thishttps://www.instructables.com/id/A-Simple-Chaos-Generator/ …

Oooh this is cool!!! I feel like the random generator is just half the problem. The other part is how do I deliver that data to 18 inputs in a clean way that doesn't involve 18 separate circuits? There's gotta be a way

But definitely bookmarking this blog cause I can definitely use this!!! If not for this project (this one might not need to even be that fancy) for a future one for sure

brainstorm you can patch into different parts of the circuit for different attractor projections, there might be a way to horizontally scale the circuit too

i think you can just add more parallel capacitors/resistor members

actually not sure about how to scale, i don't understand this circuit! it's a ⬛️ to me

Most circuits are a black box to me until I just start plugging things in and trying it, no matter how simple, I'm just a hands-on learner 🙂 So if I used this one I'd probably just blindly follow the diagram trusting it then go from there

it's wild circuits can stand in for mathematics they are probably my favorite physical system though I don't play with them much these days
