Mask project update: Not much to report today, hit a lot of walls, it's frustrating but we're gonna keep going. The regulation around this is a hairball, if you know anybody in DC who can cut through that quickly, please reach out.https://twitter.com/mattparlmer/status/1239426362315804674 …

Ignore the regulations. This is an emergency. Just do it anyway. That's what
@uwvirology did. All the feds will do is tell you no so you have to steamroll them.1 reply 0 retweets 9 likes -

Beginning to think this is the case. We're gonna need a much higher profile if we want to do that though. Any attempt to flip them the finger without access to CNN morning shows is dangerous, we might get squashed and nobody would even hear about it.

The higher profile is when you have stuff to distribute. Get the hospitals on your side, have them agree to take the supplies and have the media showing you do it. Then have the federal government--with absolutely nothing but fuck-all and BS to offer--show up and try to stop you.

A lot of legal questions are not resolved when a state declares a state of emergency so if a public hospital is on your side, that's local versus federal government. It won't be your battle and it's not one the feds will get very far in arguing with a local jury.

@mattparlmer Social media will protect you! Just make sure to do good tests before production.
