      1. We're killing off the silent generation. This is the most lethal trajectory 2. Surgical masks where possible limit contamination of public space 3. Crucial but not available everywhere 4. Quarantine is harsh but justified in certain circumstances; needs testing

      5. Of very limited usefulness in the low risk population, needs refinement based on demographics 100. Completely useless, the virus is already everywhere it can take hold

      1. Instead of thinking about communities geographically, we should group them by risk and draw lines around them by what they have in common. The silent generation is such a group at high risk with >15% mortality rate and similar trends in lifestyles and descendants.

so we need intergenerational protocols, such as in an extreme case quarantines between the young and old and also ways to have the needs of the old taken care of with this reduced exposure

@oliverbeige I get your short notation but I don't think others do (why it's not mainstream discussion right now.) This is my attempt at demonstrating understanding, expanding on the scaffolding of your thoughts.

Reading you has made me realize how dumbly we are going about this. 'Flatten the curve' is population aggregate control theory, aka the coarsest thing we can literally do.

Flatten the curve might turn into the costliest mistake, but I'm not ready to go there yet. Exponentialism, jumping into data without understanding the problem, and refusal to drill down from the aggregate and separate the at-risk demographics are the worst mistakes right now.
