Haha stimulated my vagus nerve during a meditation and had a powerful gag reflex. I've done similar but stimulated yawning instead.

Oh man just occurred to me engaging the good ol mulah bundah is another way to stimulate the vagus.

Practiced this tonight. Definitely something to look into. I got deep into a pulsing energy loop.pic.twitter.com/2oiaA720tC

This is a cool model because it gets me thinking about activating circuits and feedback loops but maps back to neuro anatomy.

My guess is that there more lower brain activation than what's going on is this picture that's responsible for kundalini

I would be curious how that low brain stimulation looks, or where it takes place. Are there other such loops we can activate? Are there pathways we can repetitively fire to achieve certain results?

I'm all about this from the inside and out. There must be several types during meditation. Example of jhanas being more self propelled after initial effort points to two different loops, one intentional and one not.

I know there are different paths because insight and concentration practices feels so different in terms of direct experience.
