It seems like so many people are trying to make 'original' discoveries, when there is already so much useful knowledge that just needs to be better distributed and coordinated.

Because of brevity (and competition), Twitter encourages new ideas and words. Ideas are important. But if you only intellectualize, you create a storm with no wind. Your most unique writing asset is your voice, grounded in your perspective and context. Don't forget the ground.

Infinite varieties of attention, connecting source and signal is the hard part. Number of people reached seems almost irrelevant, depending on the type of conversation, the smaller the better is true sometimes. More connected attention possible 1on1.

One doesnt have to have the mind set of competition even though it's true in a frame. Sharing intimately doesnt feel competitive in approach.
