what are some other domain-specific forms of forgetting? some of these seem obvious, like erasing text, deleting from computer memory, shredding a paper file, etc. some are ambiguous though. what is more like forgetting a farm field: plowing it under or re-wilding it?

is to forget to reset or is it to remake? is forgetting a process of clearing space or restoring a previous state? does forgetting create emptiness or does it create uniformity? does it max out order or max out entropy? does it have directionality? does it have transitivity?
