There’s a lot being said about gamification, but what I want to know is how is it that I just spent 30 min trying to finish one level in a game and even if I’m frustrated I just want to keep trying, but when I do any other task that needs many tries (eg maths) I get tired so fast
i think with video games i've already learned the basics of all games to a level of intuitive competence. In a specific game I work at the level of achieving fluidity or problem solving. for myself & math, I'm not basically competent enough to be able to take it into flow
