Oh yeah and it helps to take the view that there is a visual-spacial aspect in feeling and sound, a sonic aspect in feeling and space, and a feeling aspect in space and hearing.

@nosilverv, I'm writing a quick guide here. I'll work on a more through post. Bring up awareness of the senses. A body scan is a good place to start.1 reply 1 retweet 5 likes -

Choose a domain you want to explore. Set an intention to be gently curious about the sensations there. The hands or face are a good choice because of the large amount of awareness there.

Suffuse awareness into the domain. What do the nailbeds feel like? The 1st digits, the 2nd, 3rd. Palms. Skin. bones. Warmth. Solidity. Liquidity. Sensation that changes with the breath. Pleasant or unpleasant.

Then look for the boundary between things. Start small. Where does the boundary between nailbeds and flesh begin? Between 1st and 2nd? ... between fingers resting on each other.

If the boundary disappears and sensation disappears, its said to have been sealed by Emptiness. Stabilize it and explore the remaining surrounding boundaries.

This just happens. It's a direct experience. In some ways there's not a lot to talk about because it's simple. However lots of things can get in the way, namely the Hinderances.

It's at the edge of my ability to replicate, but this works with seemingly separate sensory modes. It really helps to first take the view that it could be the case that these senses are all an expression of unified awareness.

If things are of unified awareness, then there shouldn't be separation between the senses, then seemingly separate senses will have aspects of each other.

So look for the visual space aspect in hearing and body, sound aspect in sight and body, and bodily feeling aspect in sight and hearing.

When I did this successfully, it was very exciting and took me into a luminous jhana, very hard, no subject object, all senses combined into white light, dramatic af. It was unstable and i didn't get past the piti stage.
