Social death sentence
AKA canceled
It's scary knowing social death is on the table when you show up in the public sphere.
Knowing the name of what produced the fear has brought it into focus and allows me to know what I'm putting up in an absolute sense. I can manage risk with both eyes open instead of childish avoidance.

I'm shaking and sobbing quitely in this realization, frozen like child near danger. Fear of social death exists deep in my psyche.

This is very old social-creature conditioning, there is no verbal content but an awareness that being held by my wife would be the antidote to this stance at some level of mind. Otherwise I am safe at home and open to the experience.

Social death is better than actual death as an option when it comes to regulating behavior among members of the tribe. Social death allows the possibility of social rebirth.

Social rebirth means being able to meaningfully participate in society when bad behavior stops and trust is restored.
