I am going through a transition. Before I looked for advantage from rapid, high-level/blurry understanding of different areas. Being in search mode is not good for mastery. I'm giving up exploration for drilling down into the fields I like. It is hard to change.

The explore/exploit trade-off. We have to dedicate some time an energy to both activities. But how much to each? And when does each activity give us the most leverage?

Personally: I found myself going in circles with known gains ungrasped but reachable with commitment on a longer time scale. So, I've exhausted the space of what I am likely to experience at current level, there is a new kind of boredom with search.
