I will never stand against those who stand against lies. But changing your name, asking people to address you by a different pronoun, and getting sex reassignment surgery, Is. Not. Lying. You are *ontologically* confused if you think those acts are false assertions.
In everyday social situations, refer to people in a way that won't offend them. It's a small gesture of kindness and the alternative degrades trust. This is a rule of thumb among many, a social framework if you will, that keeps people talking to neighborly and cooperating.

Maneuvering through the world requires skillfully applied a variety of frames[works] in different contexts. Sometimes these frames are incomplete, nebulous, contradictory, overlapping, etc. Knowing what frames to chose is a matter of art and experience.

Attempting to speak the truth, it seems to me, if successfully done, makes the speaker vulnerable by revealing their world view and assumptions. Testing it against an audience results in reorientation toward's the speakers view or internal reevaluate by the speaker.
