She wiped her tears with her scarf. That is sisterhood and I am living for it.

I'm so glad that my mother gets to see this happen in her lifetime. Our native roots have always been extremely important and to see history being made is amazing.
-
Your mother and all true Americans. Scenes like this are way past due. Thank you for your posting.

And ps Just because these gals are crying does not mean they are weak Great to see more indigenous communities represented
-
Tears are a pressure valve. They are strong BECAUSE they cry to keep the pressure from breaking them.

There should be Native members for every state and district in which they live. Congress and Senate.

I saw this vid earlier and my 10 y/o son asked me "Why are they upset? They look like us." I told him some of the hard things my great grandfather went through and how a lot of it is still happening today. He said "Then that makes them the strongest." Yes kiddo, it does.
-
That just made me cry. I can't even deal!
-
I'm in the hospital today recovering from surgery, so you can imagine how I teared up since the remnants of anesthesia loosened my emotional restraints.
I had to keep the nurse from throwing the kiddo and hub out because she thought they were upsetting. -
Well I hope all is well after your surgery. Your son sounds like a wonderful person so I can only guess he got that from you!
-
Thank you and thank you. I hope to be out and about soon. And as far as the kiddo, it takes a village. We are fortunate to be descendants of many cultures and have living relatives of all of them. We get educated daily.
