So I think it just depends on who you like as far as personality, cuz to me they all seem similar besides dogmeat. I don't take much advantage of the romance perks but dogmeat brings me stuff and sniffs out enemies! Also he sneezes like a real dog omg
I was always curious, is she a decent companion? I had only JUST picked her up when I paused my F4 game, but a lot of the other companions just seemed so much more intriguing.Oh man, I know! The animation sets on Dogmeat are truly spectacular! That multi-sneeze is adorable!
My game is pretty heavily modded too...so I can actually have one companion + Dogmeat at any given time because I honestly couldn't stand roaming around without him.

For sure. I'm even a little afraid to return to my game as it's likely to be broke as hell without patching a bunch of things. Can't imagine playing just the base-game at this point though. You have any screenshots of your character?
