The struggle is real. I always loved the camaraderie in the field, like we're all supposedly on the same side fighting the good art fight...but maybe not?

Don't get me wrong, I prefer hand drawn animation, but to say 3d art isn't art is woefully ignorant.

Agreed. I know the sentiment wasn’t necessarily coming from a place of malice towards 3D, but someone that experienced should know better. Go figure.

Having a friend who studied under a few Disney animators, I can say a lot of them resent 3D animation. In fairness it did cost a lot of them their jobs, but I feel it's wrong to say it isn't art, or is a waste of time.
