Oh dang...I don't think I ever looked up that pronunciation and now my brain is reeling. How did you pronounce it in your head? I've heard CHA-nee and CHAN-ee...but this is the first I've heard of 'Cheney'. Blegh.

I always pronounced it CHA-nee, but would also be down for more of a velar fricative ch like in the Scottish loch :D
