Yah, we expected to be playing all of the latest game, work on our portfolio every night, be the best artist we can be, know all of the new softwares and techniques around.... Then there is like, secondary stuff like, eating, sleeping, relationship, kids, home, vacation...
Ah ha ha Secondary things. Little things. Like eating and sleeping. No big deal. Ahhh, it's both funny & sad because sometimes we really do pull crazy hours to master our craft. And then go through equally crazy burnout from it. Why are we collectively so bad at finding balance?

I'm sure you've heard the phrase "If you can't do it, someone else will." It's usually a little bit more sugar-coated but the gist stays the same. As long as we're willing to undercut someone else or work extra hours on a daily basis just to get the job, nothing will ever change.
