Yeah totally. Maybe Pyro should be angry at the leaker too then?

I'm actually more angry at Blizzard for that even being allowed to happen.

And yet it was the leaker that put you in this position. Instead of blaming Blizz, or blaming me for not liking leaks, maybe be angry at them? Have you ever considered you've made yourself an easy mark?

First of all, I don't blame you for your stance on leaks, but I WILL blame those who facilitate tours for not being more assertive with phones. And to this: "Have you ever considered you've made yourself an easy mark?" Yikes.

By an easy mark I mean- people know they can send leaks to you in the knowledge that you will share them (like you did the fake Shadowlands one), whereas others wouldn't.

I don't think you're considering the other reasons for which they wouldn't. You're making it black and white and insinuating that it's just flat out because they're "anti-leak," like you.

Well I can only speak for myself, but here's why I didn't leak what I saw on a board once; I knew the devs didn't want it in the public domain. I REALLY like the work that the devs create and respect their right to decide that stuff. For me, that's it.

I guess I'm a more detached member of the content creation community who doesn't get to have those 1-on-1 interactions that lead me to such strong vigil in regards to respecting devs on a personal level.

A designer, concept artist, character artist, rigger, animator(s), FX artist, and a tech artist, all for one character. You effectively told that whole pipeline team that you don't respect their work enough to not spoil a big reveal they want to present to players on their terms.

Yep, and the whole story team, who would have been behind the decision to keep the appearance, for their own reasons. And quest designers who might be making quests based on the idea we don't know what he looks like.

Aye. Video game leaks are basically the modern day version of yelling “Snape kills Dumbledore” with about the same level of integrity. Except some folks occasionally get away with it for the sake of games ‘journalism’ or something? I dunno, it’s a frustrating time to be a dev.
