Okay a few people asked, I guess this is the best way to sort this out!! Best place to start the fallout franchise?

Gonna echo a few others here with suggesting Fallout 3 first (esp. with the DLC). I actually prefer it over New Vegas’s Mojave desert setting, but I can see why others would prefer it. After those two, just wiki/YouTube the events of 1 & 2 and then just straight to Fallout 4.
There’s not a lot of connective tissue between 1 & 2 and the later games other than to give some contextual clues. They’re also so clunky at this point that it’s hard to justify the play-through. The story and setting of all the games is still fascinating though.
