The piece is stunning and very well made, there's no doubt about that. But there's also truth in the comments. It IS sexualized and sexualization is a problem in this industry that many people are trying to fight against cause it's harming.

That is a excuse that can be used to do more harm than good. Commercial businesses are not the only ones who can be racist or sexist.
Policing the content of other's personal work can also do more harm than good. It's not the responsibility of any one creative to always push the 'accepted' norms, prejudices, and standards of a single culture's sensibilities. They can choose to do so, but they're not obligated.

I think you're totally right but at the same time other people have the right too to say "hey maybe this could be problematic" as long as they say it nicely. I don't think this sort of fanart is made to piss people off or to offend anyway.

this! that's why i think the mentallity of "let's fight for every single thing" is not good for mental health, if you become fascinated in stopping people from doing things it can take a bit of a toll in yourself, that's why i simply don't care and enjoy things for what they are.

Problem with that statement is it is a fight because people choose to ignore someone's view and down play it as not a issue... a lot.
