The piece is stunning and very well made, there's no doubt about that. But there's also truth in the comments. It IS sexualized and sexualization is a problem in this industry that many people are trying to fight against cause it's harming.

That is a excuse that can be used to do more harm than good. Commercial businesses are not the only ones who can be racist or sexist.

Policing the content of other's personal work can also do more harm than good. It's not the responsibility of any one creative to always push the 'accepted' norms, prejudices, and standards of a single culture's sensibilities. They can choose to do so, but they're not obligated.

Exactly, pin-up style art can be fun to design and definitely has its place. If we were looking at an official redesign, I would not be thrilled with some of the design choices, but it’s a cute piece on its own and very well done.
