Yeah, what the heck?! ‘Eurocentric beauty standards’ (such as it is) is waaaay different! That’s more along the lines of Viking shieldmaiden or French damsel, whereas DMC has always veered more toward traditionally Japanese conventions. What a strange stance for them to take...

I think the "eurocentric" claim is based on the character having pale white skin and Layna also having a fair complexion, so her remodelling Lady to appeal more to her own tastes "must be" remodelling her to some sort of white people beauty standard.

People just want to be butthurt e.g. a real nasty run in with a gal on FB who took offence because her friend told her to when I said her new dreads pic made her look like she was "good with coconuts." Straight up meaningless nonsense but she brought her -friend's- race into it.
