i miss @polycount circa 2006-2010. so much great knowledge being shared, great people, made a number of lifer friends on there. i owe a lot to the the crits and suggestions during that time. i wish that kind of community still existed.

You're absolutely right. We need to set the example and be the kind of mentors we wish to see in the community. Granted, the way social media has evolved has made it easier to consume but harder to engage with art. Even still, those of us who have benefited need to pay it forward

There's been an attitude change of the younger less experienced artists on PC. Combative and deflecting comments instead of embracing, even technical, feedback.

That and the insane amount of garbage blog posts cause the veterans to just avoid even cruising through posts. Waywo doesn't help either.
