I'm so behind with pipelines but god I want to build worlds and tell stories. I have so much on my mind I just want to turn it into something good.

That's unfortunately what you DON'T get to do when you take contract/freelance character work. They pretty much tell you what they want and you make it. Unless you're part of the original indie team (with no pay), you make art to order.

Pipeline though is all technical which just takes time to learn. Luckily you already have a great network of peers who can help you along the way if you want to walk down the path. Those gchat hangouts start becoming a lot more interesting if you have specific questions.
