      Actual story time: I applied for and was offered the Insomniac internship as a college age baby- hyped on Spyro and Ratchet and Creaturebox. Just in time? For? Full studio attention diverted to Resistance: Fall Of Man. I have had trust issues ever since- therapy is ongoing

      Just to add the thought process here, other than being a sadist and keeping secretssss, when we hire - we try to hire in an agnostic way, not related to a specific project. How do they fit into the company's plan and future, versus how do they do this specific thing well.

      Xavier is a great example of that due to versatility in skill, a great technical understanding, and forward thinking in how we can develop our team and improve - which to me is way cooler than just liking Spider-Man :D

      That makes a ton of sense from the hiring side of a company, wanting to build a diverse and flexible team to take on any challenge. Do you personally ever feel the strong preference for certain styles/stories/worlds/directions?

      Thats been my thinking - so far its worked out well (and has the side benefit of not creating an echo chamber / toxic team.) Personally, like if I had it my way, everything I do would look like a Simon Bisley art book - my "top" place was ID for a long time - BUT -

      What I've come to value more over time is independence, team health, freedom...Over time, I've become less attached to styles and more about how we can solve problems, work as a team, and improve ourselves - while making kick ass stuff people want to play
