Oh yeah!
The engagement on IG also seems even lower than Twitter - you can really just end up scrolling through your phone, double-tap, and move on in seconds. It's why I'm always stoked to see other artists engage each other, providing feedback that may be otherwise absent.

It's also really hard to grow on IG. I have 1000 followers on here and Tumblr, but I struggle to even hit 200 on IG.
You also can't put your stuff in hashtag stories if you don't have 500 followers so that makes it even harder for random people to find your work.
Aye. Growth on Twitter is somewhat more organic because it encourages users to like and share content they enjoy and thus providing others a chance to see it. IG on the other hand relies almost entirely on algorithms. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't...you're a ghost.

How odd! I've found the exposure a lot better personally on IG, then again I overdo hashtags in IG..

IG is incredibly misleading. A lot of likes are bots and or people who have zero interest in your art a more in you looking at their new line of clothing.
