Soooo... now @YouTube is throwing a new wrench at creators for monetization: 4000 hours of watch time AND 1000 subscribers.
I like the thrill of a challenge but... how does this help new creators at all??? I just met your 10,000 view requirement.

This helps to prevent spammers, impersonators, and other bad actors from harming and taking ad revenue from inspiring and original creators. We know this update affects many channels but believe it’s necessary to protect our community.

How does it do this exactly? Couldn't you have put more helpful measures into place, such as hiring more workers to evaluate channels that met your ALREADY ESTABLISHED requirements? When you take away monetization, you take away a small/growing channel's ability to be seen.

@YouTube should know how much this 'affects' its community because it will be ENTIRELY NEGATIVE. What incentive do smaller channels have to keep creating new content when you continue to move the finish line further away let alone making it harder and harder to be SEEN.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
#IBlameLoganPaul I think we can get this trending perhaps???
