i might be able to help, if you would like to DM more about what you're seeing. The generic tip is "more RAM", but even that has qualifications, depending on the nature of your swap use.

Seems to have fixed itself now, the RAM was only at 30% at the time, but back to around 40/40 swap and ram now. Thanks anyway :)

yes, some passive swap _usage_ is normal. it is _active_ swapping that is the problem. if you see that, then your options are to add memory or reduce memory usage. keep an eye on that (e.g. si/so in vmstat should stay close to zero).
