She's not even a class traitor. She was always middle class.

I always remember her saying how poor she was so assumed she was working class. They’re all incredibly annoying, especially today
-
She was never “ poor” the cafe she wrote her 1st plagiarized book of ( lord of the rings ) was written in her brothers cafe in Scotland, she wrote there because she liked it. I meet her brother years ago, he looked a bit like Jesus Christ !
-
aha! I knew it! I've been doubting her "poor" credentials for quite some time. If you've ever been that grindingly poor, you never forget it, and you certainly wouldn't wish it on others!
-
I’ve been that poor before, to the point I could only eat two/three times a week. So yeah, for Rowling to be like she is to the only person that is fighting such poverty really makes me cast doubt on her whole story.
-
Same, I was a single parent, one point had no washing machine so had to wash clothes in the bath
-
on paper, I'm poor now, but I'm lucky in having a wonderful friend who buys my food, and tops up my fuel meters & housing benefit. But if they had to stop, I reckon I'd be living in my car inside a month. Been like this since I was ill in 2016 and daredn't claim thru fear of WCA.

It’s a shocking state of affairs.. what has happened to us

I couldn't actually read her ramblings. I don't follow her, does she ever tweet about the Tories, homelessness, food bank use, UC, millions of children living in poverty, DWP sanctions?
-
Nope, nothing of the sort. It’s the typical ‘I got rich so everything must be okay’ symptom of a compassionless person. She forgets her roots and those who made her what she is.

She's not really, her background SCREAMS middle class, regardless of the carefully crafted backstory she & her publishers peddle.
-
I was taken in by the whole tin of beans nonsense. Now more people like yourself are pointing me in other directions, I’m coming to despise her more for trying to get the pity vote.
-
What tin of beans nonsense?
-
I believe they’re talking about how JKR really played up the whole “starving artist” angle when there’s a decent amount of evidence saying she wasn’t nearly as poor as she claimed, given her previous middle class background and complete detachment from poor people.

She's the non-thinking mans Tolkien anyway.

It’s your friend
@jeremycorbyn that joins#Tories in the voting lobby - please do tell me how many times Blair did that as opposition leader
-
Name the times he’s joined them and I’ll name the time he’s voted against them. I’ll name the times Blair has passed right wing legislation, voted with the Tories, campaigned for the Tories, told people to vote Tory. Deal?
