I call this the "Break & Enter dropbox" and it pairs well with my Amazon Key (smartlock & smartcam combo). It's all current software. Amazon downplayed the last attack on this product because it needed an evil delivery driver to execute. This doesn't.

Also, to preemptively answer the obvious question of "how?", I'm withholding details until Amazon has a chance to fix this. Rhino Security Labs found an earlier vuln on this lock and the Amazon response was disappointing.

I'm working on engaging Amazon. I'll give them a reasonable amount of time to fix if they need it. I can't imagine that going outside of 30days but who knows.

Question: once the door is open, can you just turn the little knob in the back of the door to re-lock like a normal lock? I realize this may have just been for demonstration, but might save a few seconds if observed

I think all the deadbolt smartlocks have the twist knob, & are mechanically linked with lock mechanism. Else it'd be a death trap. So yes, you can force it open/locked with the knob. But you can't do that unless you are inside, of course. Doesn't help delivery or an exiting owner
