Introducing CalZones, a timezone savvy calendar app. CalZones is a calendar app that actually understands timezones and removes the complexity around coordinating meetings across zones.

I put a hidden WWDC Award Badge in Pedometer++. Long press on the text “Awards” to unlock it and then reach your step goal every day this week to earn it. I also have stickers of it, if you run to it me this week.

I have a little WWDC Nostalgia playlist. Every year there seems to be one or two songs that they play right at the end of every session. They all become indelibly associated with the week to me.

The Series 4 Apple Watch looks to be selling extraordinarily well. After 8 months of availability it has caught up with the Series 3 and is now tied for the most used by my users:

So got me thinking - while I agree with the idea of a more comprehensive pop-up for subscription confirmations, I think a few well-timed push notifications would help a _lot_ more. Because people don't read. Especially walls of text.

I saw this tweet about how Chinese phone users were hacking their step counts with swinging cradles (), I immediately had to get one. Now I have my test phones testing without my walking up and down the street all day.

I kept finding this book referenced by libraries I use, so I finally actually got it for myself. Fascinating stuff.

Inspired by the delightful Downlink app (), I of course had to make a watch face that shows a live image of the earth. I really like it compared to the built-in one.

It sounds like installing a tvOS beta profile onto an iPhone might block the update nag…which is both incredible and awful at the same time.

I really wish there were an option for Developer Mode enabled iPhones to turn off ‘New iOS Update Available prompts’…I realize this phone is still running iOS 11, it’s on purpose, kindly leave me alone.

I’m working on a color blindness friendly theme for Pedometer++. My usual Red-Green theming is rather problematic. This is what I have come up with right now, based on research and color vision simulators. I’d love feedback from anyone who perceives color differently than I do.

My hopes for fully customizable watch faces have been rather tempered recently…but my fingers are still crossed for just the ability to provide multiple complications within a particular type. I have so many fun ideas for what I could do with that. (rdar://45135628 😉)

Quick update out for CalZones, that adds a bunch of performance improvements and the ability to optionally hide “All Day” events:

I had a funny thought about Marzipan apps…will we get versioned macOS simulators like we do for iOS versions? Or will it require running a full instance of the targeted OS…I really hope there is a simulator, it makes compatibility work so much easier.
