Solution to the whole thing: take 10k from Trump’s savings, hire art students to put up a cardboard wall & paint concrete blocks on it & take artsy photos & blog about it. If Trump says it’s concrete, the base will never know the difference!

Especially since the wall would have to sit MILES on our side of the border. The dems should just spin it that he is trying to give Mexico a lot of America’s property

The National Butterfly Center in Mission Texas has been fighting the wall tooth and nail. It will plow right through the nature preserve and disrupt migratory routes for endangered animals. I’d love to see some in-depth journalism on that & similar stories along the Texas border.

FWIW, , not even a declaration of “national emergency” would enable Trump to seize the private property needed for his wall without specific authorization from Congress. Truman learned that the hard way in SCOTUS’s Steel Seizure decision (1952)(enjoining the seizure).

It is utterly insane the President is doing his weird wall fetish routine while his personal business is doing this.

Remember the sensational findings of the Hillary email investigation by former GOP Committee Chairs Bob Goodlatte & Trey Gowdy? Me neither. That's because GOP found nothing, again. It was a waste of taxpayer funds & the investigation quietly died last week.

No one stood up to Hitler. You know how that ended. Rep Rashida Tlaib - KEEP standing up to this monster. You have a backbone unlike every single GOP Rep. There is a MONSTER in office. Get. Him. Out.

On the first day of the New Democratic majority, we passed legislation with bipartisan support to reopen the government and end the Trump shutdown. It included my legislative text to give back pay to federal employees, which is cosponsored by 50+ colleagues from both parties.

Hardly suspicious. He thinks he’s now untouchable, and will continue to abuse his position for financial gain. Leopards and spots should be taught in schools.

...But for some reason the NPS park rangers who staff a tourist attraction in the DC building housing the Trump International Hotel remain on the job. Who declared them essential while the other national parks are closed? This is very, very suspicious.

Everyone needs to remember that shutting down a government is how a dictatorship begins. The Senate republicans who refused to take up the bill passed by the House are enabling & supporting a fascist who is removing government in favor of his personal rule. THIS CANNOT STAND!!

P.P.P.S. It was Roger Stone and Sam Nunberg’s idea for Trump to talk about “the wall.” 💥Apparently, their idea was to use “the wall” as a mnemonic device to remind him to discuss immigration issues. 🔥But it caught on.

What’s happening to Trump re spouting Kremlin talking points is called Metanarrative Framing ... Trump sees everything through Moscow’s worldview because they crafted a Moscow centric worldview for him. He makes all decisions within a bubble crafted by Putin. See
