Out now ! Here we () characterize and investigate a long-range inhibitory neuron that largely evaded prior description, but that seems to have an enormously powerful impact on CA1 and on its downstream projection targets. Check it out!

🚨The next instalment of our PFC thalamo-cortical project is out on bioRxiv 🚨 It’s got interneurons, rabies tracing, optogenetics, 2 types of disinhibition and cell-type-specific dendritic calcium signalling. Summary below 1/n

Excited to share our paper out today in ! We used in vivo electrophysiology and calcium imaging with Wire-Free Miniscopes to show that hippocampal synchronization is critical for spatial coding and this breaks down in epileptic mice.

What a way to end 2019! My first-author publication is in press! We show that a conserved histone writer, essential for establishing gene expression in early development (EZH2) increases after seizures & plays a protective role in a mouse epilepsy model.

My first first author paper from my PhD work from and is now live! We found that sharp-wave ripple (SWR) deficits in mice predict spatial memory deficits later in life 1/10
