Alright, was just a joke about caturday. The exploit is legit, and as a bonus: The kernel exploit affects Playstation5 as well! (no, ps5 is not ready or being released, the lead developer does not currently have a ps5 console)

Might be a silly question but does the exploit work on lower firmware, or is this specific to 9.00?

Yes, it could work for lower firmware. However: we found 9.00 to be very stable, and no reason to attempt it for multiple. In the future others may modify offsets for other firmware revisions.
