So Biden ended up getting 3 and a half of these benchmarks, & effectively 4 and a half because he’s going to finish 2nd, well over the threshold, in CA.
It would take something VERY dramatic for Joe Biden to not be the Democratic nominee.

The only concern is that candidates who have come under media scrutiny (Warren, Pete, Bloomberg, Bernie) take a hit in the polls and go backwards. Same with Hillary & Trump in 2016. Biden is now the favourite but he does makes gaffes and those will get more attention.

Biden may very well win CA and surprise everyone. Democratic voters managed to turn on a dime this week and I suspect CA turned with them.

With all the mail-in ballots and slow lines in CA, he may pick up another 5% in the coming days. Biden being the one to beat Bernie in Massachusetts also counts as a bonus, I think.

As I look this morning, Biden is, indeed, approaching 25%. But it's coming at the expense of Bloomberg's statewide viability. Honestly, though, I think that pushes Bloomberg even further towards a decision to drop out, which finishes consolidating the moderate lane...
