It seems unfair at first, but honestly I think it’s the first smart business decision Youtube has made in a long time. It raises the bar high enough to create a “unique and hard working Youtubers get rewarded” environment, which is exactly what is needed
And them creators have to put in thousands of times more effort and what is their great reward? The 20 bucks they took away. Yeah fantastic new system they have to incentivize creators to add million of hours of hours of new content for youtube to immediately monetize themselve
