Kind of weird choice of terminology, he really meant high level cognition (in the audience question about IID theory of conciosness it became clear he did not care so much for philosophical considerations, so much as practical ones)

I like most of his arguments, and I generally like discussing the philosophy of consciousness, but I hate how he mangled the terminology. He's been called out on it before to with "the consciousness prior". IMO he's persisting because it's sexier than the more appropriate terms.
