One day a test version of our game compiled without any assets rendering. No obstacles, car, weapons nothing. Myself and
@karlypants were still able to finish the first level.

By the time we shipped SWTOR, I think I could complete Korriban (the first planet we built) in something like 10-15 minutes, and that includes finding someone to do the MP quest. It was designed to take 3 hours.

Imagine having to destroy 50% of the game, and the remaining 50% working 50% as well as you wanted it to. Then imagine hate mail and death threats, late nights and people yelling at you to fix it. Then imagine the game shuts down, you lose your job, and you start all over again.
