Twilight Princess is great. I found the darker take on Zelda perfectly refreshing after Wind Waker (my fav Zelda game btw) and actually surprisingly moving. Also, the beginning isn’t nearly as bad as everyone loves to complain it is.

It’s just that goat mini game.

2 more for you: - I hate that in BotW, it's never explained how Zelda was holding Ganon back for 100 years and never aged. She's not a spirit, so what the heck was going on in there? - Darksiders is one of the greatest Zelda games of all time

Modern Zelda games lack a 'creepy/weirdo' factor that the early 3D games had; everything feels super polished and clean these days - I miss the toilet hand or stuff like the zombie dad from MM I wished BOTW had more dark caves, ominous music and just more creepy shit going on

Majora’s Mask has an infinitely more developed world than Ocarina of Time, story and character-wise. Yoshiaki Koizumi is the reason any Mario or Zelda game has managed to have a story that connected with anyone.

Well, pretty much all of OOT's dev time was spent trying to make Zelda work in a 3D environment. MM benefited from having already figured it out, giving them the time to make it much more story/character-focused. Plus, so many of the assets were reused, so that helped, too.
