The American political left can't separate itself from this authoritarian hypersensitivity, it's no surprise it can't govern or change America in any meaningful way

In the early 00's some right-wing activists tried to shame lawyers who defended terrorists and it was considered ridiculous. Now suddenly terrorism and murder (Sullivan represented murder) are not as bad as Harvey Weinstein?https://twitter.com/ShaferSkelton/status/1127307113737457664 …

The "campus left" insofar as it exists is an insular upper class phenomena with insular upper class obsessions

They come from such obscure upper class backgrounds that they can't imagine being murdered (if you live in west baltimore or SW ATL instead of Cambridge, maybe nto so much). So if he represented murderers that was fine.https://twitter.com/michaeldemoore/status/1127308714904440832 …

"I'm okay with rights for everyone that personally doesn't scare me, but if they do scare me thanks to my social media feed and political interests, that person doesn't deserve a defense" -- America's finest legal minds.

What's the problem with him being a faculty dean? There aren't any unless someone is mentally incapable of separating out a lawyer's defense from their alleged actions of the client. And certainly America's so-called elites should be okay with that.https://twitter.com/ShaferSkelton/status/1127310068427444224 …

If they aren't okay with that, they are the ones who need the interventions, counseling, therapy, not Ronald Sullivan, Jr. who is an American hero

Ronald Sullivan Jr is an American hero -> "He also designed a defense delivery system, which led to the release of 6,000 wrongfully incarcerated inmates after Hurricane Katrina."https://twitter.com/eric_black3/status/1127310672486813696 …

The majority (or around half, depending on state and year) of people in prison "abused their power" by committing violent crimes. Lawyers who defend them arent violent criminals. The entire train of logic is authoritarian and against the principles of HLShttps://twitter.com/ShaferSkelton/status/1127311651756236805 …
