Today is one month since I arrived in Washington D.C. and joined our wonderful bureau. Thought I’d share some of the stories I worked on since I’m having a blast & at times forget that my journalism career has been years in the making. This week I asked about gun reform.

portraying Kenyan's as "antidemocratic" and "anti-free press" is so disingenuous. Dead black bodies are not entertainment. I've seen c/producers, journalists and editors refuse to broadcast images based on ethical reasons, it is not an attack on the free press.

As it emerges The Met Police issued the wrong CCTV pictures of missing student nurse Owami Davies. Worth reminding you all there are serious risks of racial bias & misidentification within policing when it comes to recognising black individuals and this needs to be addressed.
