Uh oh. Some say the first sign of weakness is arrogance. Asked about his inability to raise money from small donors like @CynthiaNixon does, @NYGovCuomo walks away and says “I’m going back to Albany to work on the budget and I’ll answer your little questions later.”
In a Follow up phone call @NYGovCuomo answers my Q about small donors. He says they are important but right now he does a different type of fundraising operation. But they will be targeting small donors as campaign goes forward.
He’s unfailingly arrogant and condescending.
Unlike Cynthia Nixon? Who is siphoning money away from real causes and real candidates for a vanity project. Even if she wins, she will spend the first two years realizing that running NYS is not as easy as she thinks.
The little people with their little donations and their little questions...

Wait a minute Zach. In this era of fake news, etc. let’s be clear that this was a statement made by Ms. Nixon with no campaign filings (yet) to know if true. I’m not taking anything away but tell us what the filings say and then report the story and ask the questions.
I donated to her. I have never donated to Cuomo. Nor would I. So there’s one NY small donor confirmed.
Cuomo took a ton of heat for his dismissiveness toward @kdewitt7 late last year.

Should we be surprised? How many public events did the governor do where he met and spoke face to face with regular New Yorkers? How many rope lines, meet and greets, panels, or forums? If he won’t answer a legit question from a reporter, would he answer to a regular voter?
