TV people I know say this is not just a legal threat over 1 ad. The threat, they say, goes beyond that, coming amid the backdrop of Cuomo using his office to boot Spectrum/Charter out of New York state in the wake of his unrealized vow to have broadband acess throughout NY.

Free speech? Suppressing campaign ads is ridiculous. Lots of candidates use low brow tactics at all levels. It’s nothing new. It doesn’t sway me nor do I like it but Cuomo doesn’t get special exemption from it.
