When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

In the past, some viewers were frustrated with how many notifications they received. Not everyone felt that way, so we added the bell. For any subs who are worried they're missing content, they can get all notifications by changing their settings here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4

This seems bizarre. As a viewer as well as a content creator, by hitting subscribe I want to see ALL content from that channel I’ve subscribed to. This NEEDS to be viewers choice, not YouTubes. This isn’t good.

You will always see videos of channels you are subscribed to in the subs feed. In this video, we were referring to proactive notifications which not all viewers wanted to receive. We added the bell to give viewers a choice. More here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4 Hope that helps!

It seems random whether subs see content or not in my experience. as a channel with lots of subs but pretty low views these days I often get people show up and say they haven't seen videos/notifications from me for literally months or more despite being subbed.

There are certain channels I am subbed to, I thought had quit Youtube but actually have been uploading all this time. Whether sub boxes are broken or the algorithm is stopping content going out, this is clearly an issue despite YT's constant denials on the subject.

Well once multiple videos did not go to my sub box and the youtuber had to notify subscribers that you haven’t been sending them to sub feeds.
